Ayurveda is an ancient holistic wisdom that teaches us how to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature and our own inner landscape. The word “Ayurveda” comes from Sanskrit and literally means “the science of life.” It is a living tradition that sees your physical body, emotions, mind, and energy as deeply connected, and offers tools to support wellbeing at every level

What Ayurveda Sees

Ayurveda begins with a simple idea: health is more than the absence of symptoms — it is a dynamic balance of body, mind, and lifestyle.  

At its core are the five elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether) that combine to form three life‑force energies known as doshas:

  • Vata (air + ether): movement, circulation, creativity

  • Pitta (fire + water): digestion, transformation, metabolism

  • Kapha (water + earth): structure, nourishment, stability  

Everyone carries all three doshas but in a unique mix called prakriti (your natural constitution). Throughout life, this balance shifts in response to food, seasons, stress, sleep, and emotions. Ayurveda helps you understand these patterns so you can support balance gently and naturally.
